Understanding Baptism

A baptism in progress

What is baptism?

Baptism is a topic that is often discussed and sometimes misunderstood. There are many questions that come up when studying baptism. Perhaps most the most important question is, "Do I need to be baptized to be saved?" We have several resources that we have developed to help you with your questions.

This first resource is a self-paced study you can download and complete on your own. This study covers teachings and examples of baptism in the New Testament. Scriptures are provided, followed by straightforward questions.

We also have a brief video, a little over seven minutes long, that discusses the relationship between baptism and the gospel. Scriptures are provided, along with an online Bible you can follow as you watch and listen.

And to make your study and research easier, we have a comprehensive list of all passages in the New Testament which mention baptism, baptize, baptizing, baptized, or Baptist - any scripture that has a word that starts with "bapti". You can read the passages in your own Bible to understand God's will for you.
