Elder Fraud Seminar

The cost of scams and frauds against the elderly has grown to over $4.4 billion. Many of you may know someone who has been scammed or defrauded in some way. We are taking steps to provide information to our community to help protect against elder fraud.

On Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. we will be holding a special seminar Elder Fraud - Recognition and Prevention. The featured presenter will be Perry Woo, retired FBI Special Agent with over 20 years of experience in financial crimes, cybercrime, and digital forensics, with multiple certifications related to incident response and digital forensics. Perry has presented on evolving cyber threats and participated in multiple panels as a subject matter expert. Jeff McKune, former Chief Health Informatics Officer for a hospital, will also be presenting.

Scenario-based Elder Fraud Training

We know that many are eager to attend our elder fraud training.  We are still working on scheduling that in the near future.  In the meantime, we have developed some scenario-based training regarding elder fraud and scams.  This training covers 16 different scenarios. There is no charge, and you can complete the training as many times as you like.

Note: We now include a video on how to report elder fraud to the authorities. This video is in the Learning and Resources section on the menu.

If you would like to send the training to others via email or post it on social media, copy the link below and then paste the link in an email or on social media.  You can also download a flyer for the training below.

Making Kids Mind Without Losing Yours

Parenting Class
Making Kids Mind Without Losing Yours

Dr. Kevin Leman is a psychologist and best selling author of "Have a New Kid by Friday", "What a Difference a Mom Makes", and "The Birth Order Book." With insight and humor this father of five shows you how to get kids to do what you want them to do, and avoid the cycle of arguing and conflict that parents too often encounter.

This class will be held on Wednesday evenings at the Rolla church of Christ for six weeks, starting on April 1, 2026. Registration is required and is limited to 50 attendees.  There is no cost for the class or materials.  Use the Register button below to register for this class.

Our Wednesday evening devotional starts at 6:30 p.m.  After the brief devotional we will start class and end at 7:30 p.m. There are classes for all ages, so bring your kids to enjoy Bible class while you attend Dr. Leman's class. The class will be facilitated by Jeff McKune.

Crucifixion of Jesus Christ video

The crucifixion of Jesus is central to the message of the gospel.  This video uses scripture, images, and information from BiblePlaces.com, Logos Bible Software, the Linda Byrd Smith Museum of Biblical Archaeology, the Mayo Clinic Health System, and other sources. This video is under 14 minutes in length.  Viewer discretion is advised.

For one will scarcely die for a righteous person - though perhaps for a good person one would even dare to die - but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:7-8 ESV
