New Christian-Member

Welcome to our church family!
If you have recently been baptized, welcome to the body of Christ! We celebrate your decision and your commitment to our Lord Jesus.
If you have moved to the area and you are a Christian who would like to work and serve with us under our eldership, welcome! It is a blessing to have you.
We all face many challenges in our walk with God, and we have several resources that we want to share with you to strengthen you in your walk. As a family of believers who grow in Christ and support one another, the elders want to share these resources with you. God bless and strengthen you each day as you share His light with those around you.

Starting your day as a Christian
If you want to walk with God through the day, you should start your day with Him! Here is a short guide to starting your day.
And here is a written guide that may encourage you as well.

Read your Bible
Just as an infant will not grow if they are not fed, Christians cannot grow in Christ if they do not regularly feed on the Word of God. We have several Bible reading plans that will take you through the whole Bible in a year - something we recommend. We also have shorter studies, from 7 to 30 days, on specific topics.

Pray regularly
God wants to hear what is on your heart. Paul wrote the following to the Christians at Philippi:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
We have several prayer journals and resources to help you in your prayers. Seek God in prayer, and you will find Him.

Find your ministry to connect and serve
Working with other Christians to strengthen, encourage, and bless those around you is a great way to grow! We have so many areas where you can serve. Consider taking a spiritual gifts inventory to learn some ways that God has gifted you to serve.
Once you have an idea about some interests you have, try out a ministry or two and see what you find to be challenging and rewarding. Our Ministry Guide lists many areas where you can serve and bless others!
We encourage all of our members to sign-up for our free mobile app. The app provides many features to help our members connect, including the ability to join one of our many ministry groups. Just tap to open Groups, then tap Request to Join. The group leaders will then be notified, and they will follow-up with you. Contact us for information about getting our mobile app.

Understanding sin
Sin is something we all struggle with, even after becoming Christians. Know that the elders do not want you to be discouraged. Several mature Christians have contributed to this special training called Understanding Sin as a Christian. Be watchful, learn from your mistakes, and keep moving forward!
