EF2 Tornado hits Rolla on March 14
Shortly before 8:00 PM on March 14, 2025, an EF2 tornado hit Rolla, starting in the southwest corner of town and moving to the northeast side. Many businesses and homes were destroyed or damaged. Power was out for much of the community, as nine substations were impacted.
We were thankful that Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort (CCDRE) contacted us and asked if they could help. They sent our church family a 53-foot semi-truck of supplies, including food boxes, infant care boxes, personal care boxes, tarps, water, brooms, mops, clothing, cleaning supplies, and water. We provided assistance to roughly 200 households that were impacted by the storm. CCDRE also provides furniture and one major appliance to low income households who did not have homeowners insurance.
